LSI awarded an airborne LiDAR data collection project for an Oil & Gas company specializing in natural gas and light oil with operations in western Canada.

LiDAR Services International is an industry partner for a University of Calgary Geomatics Engineering project that was awarded one of six Strategic Project Grants from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). The project goal is to develop and demonstrate that UAVs are able to obtain accuracies that are similar to current airborne LiDAR mapping systems.

LSI’s US wholly owned subsidiary announces the mobilization of the MATRIX proprietary LiDAR system and ground support team to Wisconsin for a 965 km thermal rating/vegetation management project.

LiDAR Services International hosted a remote sensing open house at SAIT Polytechnic’s Art Smith Aero Centre in Calgary last week. The event focused on the use of Optionally Piloted and Autonomous aircraft for remote sensing operations. There were more than 75 attendees from industry and academia.

The invited speaker presentations included:
