LSI Awarded Coal Mine LiDAR Project
September 2019 – LSI has been awarded a project for an Alberta based coal mine located near Grande Cache Alberta. The project will be flown at the end of September using the LSI MATRIX LiDAR system installed in a Cessna 210 aircraft.
LSI Completes Mine Project
September 2019 – LSI has completed a detailed LiDAR survey for a gold mining company near Quesnel British Columbia. The project involved flying 3 mine sites and 2 new transmission line routes in support of future mine operations.
LSI Awarded 3 Yukon Projects
August – 2019 LSI is pleased to announce the award of 3 mining LiDAR projects in the Yukon for 3 different clients. All airborne operations for these projects will be based out of the Mayo Yukon airport. Projects will be flown at the end of August following completion of the NWT program.
LSI Awarded NWT LiDAR Survey
August 2019 – LSI has secured a contract for a 600 sq. km. LiDAR survey south of Yellowknife NWT. The LiDAR survey is expected to commence during the 3rd week of August.
LSI Awarded As-Built LiDAR Survey
July 2019 – LSI has been awarded a 500 km as-built transmission line LiDAR survey in Alberta. The LiDAR project will be done using a Bell 206B helicopter with the MATRIX LiDAR system. Project will be flown in July.
LSI Award Additional USA Projects
June 2019 – LSI in conjunction with it’s USA subsidary LiDAR Services, LLC., has been awarded 3 thermal rating/new route survey projects in Montana, North and South Dakoka. All projects will be completed by mid June.
LSI Awarded Transmission Line Thermal Rating Project
March 2019 – LSI in conjunction with it’s wholly owned USA subsidiary, LiDAR Services, LLC., have been awarded a large transmission line thermal rating project for a major utility in the north central USA. Project is expected to start in April.
Preparing for 2019
March 2019 – Although we still have snow on the ground in Calgary, LSI staff have been preparing for flight operations that will commence in the Spring. Major upgrades and improvements have been completed on all of our LiDAR systems over the winter months and we are looking forward to the 2019 airborne LiDAR data collection season.
