July 2018 – LSI has been awarded a Uranium Mine site LiDAR survey located in northern Saskatchewan approximately 25 km SE of Points North Landing. The Athabasca Basin region of Northern Saskatchewan is considered to be one of the richest areas of uranium in the world. LSI will commence LiDAR operations in mid-July.
LSI Awarded 7800 sq. km. LiDAR survey
July 2018 – LSI has been awarded a large wide area mapping project of just over 7800 sq. km. in size! This project will commence mid July using a Cessna 206 aircraft.
LSI Completes Panama LiDAR Program
July 2018 – LSI has successfully completed a +1000 linear km transmission line LiDAR survey in Panama for ETESA. The project was flown using a LSI MATRIX LiDAR system installed in a RotorJet Bell 206B helicopter.
Potash Mine LiDAR Contract
June 2018 – LSI has received a contract for the collection and processing of LiDAR and digital imagery data over 3 underground Potash Mines all located in Saskatchewan. The total project size is 1030 sq. km. LiDAR data will be used for ground surface subsidence monitoring analysis by the Client.
Saskatchewan Wide Area Mapping Project Award
May 2018 – LSI is pleased to announce the award of a 1000 sq. km. LiDAR mapping project for the Yellow Quill First Nation located approximately 300 kms east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The LiDAR program will be used to support watershed and flood mapping scenarios throughout the project area.
LSI Mobilizes to USA for Transmission Line Project
May 1 – 2018: LSI in conjunction with it’s wholly owned USA subsidiary, LiDAR Services, LLC., has mobilized an airborne LiDAR system to the north central USA for a large transmission line thermal rating and vegetation encroachment survey. Project is expected to start the 2nd week of May.
Northwest Territories LiDAR Project Award
April 2018 – LSI has secured a contract for LiDAR and digital imagery data collection services on a 400 sq. km. new mining concession located north of Yellowknife NWT. Project will be flown later this summer.
LSI Awarded Panama Transmission Line Project
April 2018 – LSI has received an airborne LiDAR and digital imagery contract for a survey on over 1000 linear km of high voltage transmission lines in Panama. The project will provide detailed thermal rating sag analysis as well as the monitoring of vegetation encroachment issues on either side of the transmission line corridors. LSI will also supervise the establishment of approximately 185 geodetic control points and monuments along the transmission line corridors tied into the Panama national first-order geodetic control network.
LSI Awarded Transmission Line Vegetation Management Project
March 2018 – LSI has been awarded an existing transmission line vegetation management project in Ontario. Project will be flown with a Bell 206B helicopter.
